Dear Fans,
Because of your enthusiastic patronage and support, I am very close to making Food is love, Love is food my full-time job. My admiration for what we have here in our Humboldt community is reflected in the gratitude I feel for this place. Here, I find a people that earnestly care for natural resources, biodiversity, and culture of place.
I have come to view Humboldt County as a live-in incubator for experimenting with agriculturally, anthroculturally, and socially responsible methods. One thing is for certain, Humboldt is not afraid to try new things when it comes to economy, conservation efforts, politics, and the like. I am inspired by passionate food cultivators. I am inspired by our special niche crop. I am impressed by the longevity of activist sentiment in this place. Humboldt is a laboratory!
     Reality is rich.
Sincerely,
Rachael M. Patton
