Shamira Heinz, owner of Heartfire Bakery, and I spend each Thursday morning working in the kitchen we share. The work tables “L”, making it easier to work and socialize simultaneously. We are independent artisan food makers and usually find much to discuss and share, like ideas about food’s construction, nutrition, and worth. This week I am happy to feature the burger on Heartfire Bakery’s Sesame Buns. They’re toasty on the outside and chewy on the inside. It’s only natural that our food talents should converge to make my wildest dreams manifest. Trust me, if you avoid gluten and conventional meat, like me, it’s rare to come across a freaking burger for under $10. My sandwich dreams are coming true. This is the beauty of business incubators.
