Always in progress: sometimes the menu gets built that morning, in a pinch.

Food is love, Love is food reflects the reality of love and relationship: Last night, I was up till late finishing a draft of an essay and decided to put the menu off until this morning. When I arrived at the kitchen, I was inspired to whip up some crepes to sell with the planned pies. In the commitment to the lunch run, I find room for creativity when I take a little time for the other things I love without feeling guilt for not dedicating every second to work.

So, here is the menu, as fast as I could muster:

*All milled flours and oats , used, were process in dedicated gluten-free facilities. All foods prepped in a dedicated gf kitchen, to boot.

Savory Pie
filled with tender French Green Lentils, roast Shiitakes, Red Onion, wilted Chard, with mashed Potatoes baked on top. $7 ea.

Mung Bean Crepe
Stuffed with a Fig Balsamic dressed Quinoa salad with Cherries, Carrots, Raisins, Kale, fresh Fennel, and fresh Mint, with Fennel Avocado spread.      $7 ea.

Food is love, Love is food proudly sources ingredients that were grown within the county in order to create foods that reflect a seasonal palette and an appreciation for the food culture of Humboldt County.
